An inopportune double fault awards the first set to Sebastian Korda. Pedro Martnez came to dominate 4-2 but gave up four games in a row.
The finalist of the last two editions of Roland Garros is the first player in the men’s draw to reach the round of 16. The Ukrainian has already reached the Roland Garros quarterfinals twice and in this edition she secures the eighth after beating Russia’s Alexandrova in two sets. The Polish Swiatek has also achieved her classification.
