f Penn State No. 8 will be the greatest threat to Ohio State No. 5 in the Big Ten East. He cannot afford to drop winnable games. The Nittany Lions definitely have their work against Indiana, leaving half of it 17-7 for each team in the opening game.

The story for Penn State so far was sales. Quarterback Sean Clifford has thrown two ugly interceptions, both of which resulted in points for the Hoosiers. The first came on a botched screen pass while the other was a fall that gave the Hoosiers a great field position in plus territory. Clifford also fumbled the ball deep into Hoosier’s territory before the end of the first half when his team had an opportunity to put points on the board. Indiana didn’t play very well offensively, but Stevie Scott III has two touchdowns and 47 yards on 10 tries. Indiana’s defense was the real difference maker, limiting Penn State’s offensive to a few piece-meter games. This was the kind of bug-prone game the Hoosiers need to win. Now the question is whether they can hold out for the next 30 minutes.
