In the camp of the New York training, the infected athlete would evolve within the offensive line, according to the NFL Network. His teammates having been in contact with him were ordered to return home.

In addition, two instructors – Bret Bielema and Jerome Henderson – were sent home.

Club quarters remain open, as athletes and coaches not affected can continue their normal activities.

On the Los Angeles side, the footballer concerned is also in isolation. Club facilities remain open, but all team meetings are held virtually.

The Giants’ next meeting is scheduled for Monday night, when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit MetLife Stadium. The Chargers are due to visit the Denver Broncos the day before.
