CLEVELAND – Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield suffered only rib injuries in the win over the Indianapolis Colts, who brought the club to 4-1 for the first time in 26 years.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday Mayfield is stiff, but the injury only affects the ribs. Mayfield had indicated, after undergoing x-rays, that his right wrist was also affected.

Stefanski seems optimistic that Mayfield will play on Sunday, when the Browns visit the Pittsburgh Steelers, still unbeaten in four games.

Cleveland has lost 16 straight games at Heinz Field.

The Browns tertiary suffered another heavy blow after the name of Ronnie Harrison, who returned an interception for a touchdown on Sunday, was put on the list of players required to undergo the NFL concussion protocol.

Stefanski also indicated that cornerback Greedy Williams’s name will be on the long-term injured list due to a pinched nerve in his shoulder. Williams missed a fifth game in a row with an injury the team initially didn’t believe was serious.

Right guard Wyatt Teller injured his right calf and his case will be reassessed on weekdays.
