After several unexpected twists and turns, the Intel Extreme Masters New York finals reached two teams that had dropped out of the TOP 10 best teams in the world rankings. “FaZe Clan”, represented by Latvian Helvija “broky” Saukanta, won 70 thousand euros in his possession after a quick 3: 0 victory over the team “OG”.

This was the first final of “broky”, in which a series of five games had to be played. After winning this tournament, he was named the best player of the week in three categories on CS: GO at hltv.org. The most shot with an AWP weapon, the most shot opponents in the round with an AWP weapon on average, and his score in the first duel of the round is impressive – he won them in 76.7% of cases.

OG started this final with a convincing start on the first Mirage card. Alexis “Aleksib” Virolainen was on the right wave, as he started three rounds in a row with a won duel. Everything showed that FaZe would not go easy on their chosen card, but when the broky shot three opponents in one round, the team gained confidence.

This was the second tournament that FaZe won with a Latvian in his team. It is not yet known whether the team’s path will continue as green, because on September 18 it was announced that another team is hoping to take possession of the team captain Nikol “NiKo” Kovača.
