Kart, in Lonato the madness of Corberi ruins the KZ world championship

In Lonato, the beauty of karting is in the victory of Jeremy Iglesias, KZ world champion, in the KZ2 International Super Cup won by Simone Cunati and in the FIA Karting Academy Trophy won by Ariel Elkin.

A Sunday, unfortunately, destined to be remembered for the madness of Luca Corberi, after being the protagonist of a race episode – in the KZ final – with Paolo Ippolito. Corberi out on the ninth lap of the 25 scheduled, against the barriers – an incident for which Ippolito will be disqualified at the end of the race – and this is the moment when an unspeakable reaction begins.

On social media, the scene of Corberi becomes viral who, while the race is in progress, awaits the passage of the group, with the front fairing of the kart in hand hurled against Ippolito, centered by another pilot.

It is the night of reason for the 23 year old from TonyKart, who continues crossing the track and not caring about the indications of the marshals. As if that were not enough, after the race a brawl begins, lashing out against Ippolito, a chaos continued with the involvement of others present in the pit area.

One shameful sight, on which assessments and severe measures by the sporting authority will be necessary, because from the minor categories, from karting to formulas, even before the technical training of the driver, human training is essential towards respecting the rules.

Unanimous on social media the condemnation by pilots, from Vergne to Button, with the Englishman to comment: “Luca Corberi has just destroyed any chance he had for a career as a racing driver after this disgusting behavior at the FIA World Karting Championships. His father owns the circuit and sees the boy being loaded into the wall. Lifetime disqualification for both of these idiots, please”.
