Just because of missed tests? Chris Coleman and the Olympic exit

EA year and a half ago, in April 2019, Seth Coleman scolded a journalist who had demanded that his son Christian be subjected to a doping test every day in an unprofessional and irresponsible idiot and writer. Coleman Junior, the fastest sprinter in the world in 2017, 2018 and 2019, had just been charged with three missed doping tests before the association court. He got lucky. Because the first of these rule violations was a so-called “filing failure”, a false address that led to a doping controller not being able to find it, it was postponed to the beginning of the quarter in accordance with the rules by a good two months, to April 2017. The third violation was dated April 1, 2018 – one day outside the deadline. The American anti-doping agency Usada withdrew its lawsuit, and Coleman became world sprint champion in Doha in October.

One wonders who Father Coleman is calling an unprofessional and irresponsible idiot. His son, 24 years old and an advertising vehicle for the sporting goods manufacturer Nike, which is endowed with a few hundred thousand dollars, has been proven to have violated the rules for the fourth time, this time a “missed test” in December 2019. Together with the two of them from January and April 2019, these are three rule violations within one year . The champion, the sixth fastest sprinter in history with his best time of 9.76 seconds, will be banned until May 13, 2022 and will therefore not be allowed to compete in the Tokyo Olympic Games.
