In the month of March, the municipality of El Espinar dramatically lost two people, Jesus Velasco and his son Jesus, that left a deep mark on the sports family of the town.
In their memory and with the desire to pay tribute to them, it took place at the golf club Los Angeles de San Rafael, the first Memorial Jesus Velasco Father and Son, a tournament that was promoted by the Golf Club itself Los Angeles de San Rafael and the Club Golf Golfdegolfos, and organized by the latter in collaboration with the Club de Golf El Espinar, clubs the three to which the two honorees belonged.
The entire collection of the tournament, with a total sum of 2,160 euros, was allocated to the Amanecer Mental Health Association of Segovia, by express wish of the family.

According to the words of Raul de la Flor, President of ADE Golfdegolfos, tournament organizers: “It has been a very emotional day, in which everyone, both sponsors and players, have turned their heads so that everything went in the best possible way. Our objective is to establish the celebration of this event in memory of our partners and friends every year and that the proceeds obtained go to the purpose that the family chooses “.
In this first Memorial, two competition systems were established: Triangular by teams between the three clubs involved in the event, and individual Stableford.
The winners of the tournament were:
• Scratch wins: Raúl León Díez.
• 1st Category Champion: Miguel Angel Pérez Sáez.
• Runner-up 1st Category: Francisco Valverde Lorenzo.
• 2nd Category Champion. Fernando Muñoz Portela.
• 2nd Category Runner-up: Gabriel García López.
• Ladies Champion: Victoria Escribano Molina.
In the team competition, the winner was the ADE GolfdeGolfos, for a minimal advantage over the Golf Club El Espinar.
