Gisela Vega, from Gualeguaychue, left basketball for a while to be a mother because, as she herself confirmed, motherhood occupies all the hours of her day.
He also added that he is happy to be able to enjoy his baby, especially in times of pandemic, and with regard to whether he thinks that his son will inherit the passion for this sport, he indicated that there will be time for him to choose, but if it is basketball, the better.
The former pivot of the national team was one of the visible faces when it came to making herself heard for inequality in women’s basketball and today she is proud to have made this issue visible. At the same time, he trusts that the new generations will continue on this path so that the activity has the recognition it deserves.
Regarding the brave decision that his brother made to communicate his sexuality to the basketball world, Vega said that Sebastián prioritized his happiness over anything else and that this marks the way for many other athletes to feel the freedom to express their true feelings.
