Forbes estimates the Dallas Cowboys remain the most expensive NFL team at US $ 5.7 billion, a title they’ve claimed for 14 years now.
Jerry Jones’ team is also the most expensive professional sports team in the world, according to the magazine.
Behind the Cowboys, the six-time Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots, sit second at $ 4.4 billion. They are followed by the New York Giants ($ 4.3B), Los Angeles Rams ($ 4B) and San Francisco 49ers ($ 3.8B).
The New York Jets ($ 3.55B), Chicago Bears ($ 3.52B), Team Washington ($ 3.5B), Philadelphia Eagles ($ 3.4B) and the Houston Texans ($ 3.3B) round out the top-10.
The fastest growing clubs last year were the Seattle Jets, Eagles and Seahawks, with their value up 11 percent each.
The three cheapest clubs are the Detroit Lions ($ 2.1B), followed by the Buffalo Bills ($ 2.05B) and the Cincinnati Bengals ($ 2B), who finished last in the league. NFL in 2019 with a 2-14 record. They are also the only teams not to have reported an increase in their value last year.
On average, each NFL club is worth $ 3.05 billion, up seven percent from last year.
Defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, sit 23rd with a value of $ 2.5 billion, a nine percent increase from 2019.
