Boston Celtics Advance to Eastern Conference Finals; Dallas Mavericks lead in Western Conference semi-finals

Boston is the first team to qualify for the Eastern Conference finals of the NBA play-offs. At home, the Celtics won Game 5 against Cleveland (113-98) on Wednesday.

The Cavaliers, once again deprived of their best player Donovan Mitchell, were simply no match for Jayson Tatum (25 points) and his teammates. Despite a slight advantage gained during the second quarter, the Cavs let go after returning from the locker room.

Arch favorite in the East, Boston will play a sixth Conference final in eight years. A new failure at this stage (3-4 defeat against Miami last year) would almost act as a snub for this team built to win a championship ring. The Celtics will face either New York or Indiana (NY leads 3-2).

Doncic guide Dallas

In the West, Dallas regained control in the semi-final against Oklahoma City. The Mavericks of Luka Doncic, author of a triple double (31 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists), won the fifth game against the Thunder with a score of 104 to 92 and lead 3-2 in the series. They will have a first opportunity to conclude it on Saturday at home.
