Flood of Offers from Abroad, Robert Alberts Setia Persib Bandung

Bandung

Persib Bandung coach Robert Rene Alberts admitted that he was flooded with offers from foreign clubs. However, Robert Alberts chose to remain committed to Persib.

Robert admitted that he received offers from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore. He could have taken the offer, given the leagues in several countries are still rolling. Another case in Indonesia which experienced delays up to two times.

“Yes, I have. I have received many offers. Honestly, there have been several offers from outside Indonesia that have come but I am not interested,” said Robert in a virtual conference on Friday (16/10/2020).

One thing that has kept him alive is the target for Persib’s future. Robert also met six eyes with two Persib bosses, Glen Sugita and Teddy Tjahjono in Jakarta.

“I don’t think there are many better teams than Persib in the region, and I am happy to be here even though I have received less salary and money,” said Robert.

“What is more important is the trust in working together, mutual trust and also the vision to make Persib Bandung the best team not only in Indonesia but also in Southeast Asia to Asia as a whole, in the Asian Champions League in the future. , “he said again.

In fact, Robert is outspoken about income. The former Vancouver Whitecaps player admitted that the money he received at Persib was much smaller than what he received when he was architecting PSM Makassar first.

“We have had discussions and I have clear reasons, we have confidence. Money is not everything, I previously came to Bandung with a salary much smaller than what I received in Makassar,” he said.

“So for me, it is an honor to be a coach in Bandung, full trust is given and the culture and people in Bandung also make me happy to live here,” he concluded.
