Deportivo Viedma launches its Little Basketball School

Deportivo Viedma launched a project that was as ambitious as it was rewarding: its own Little Basketball School. It is a space for recreation and learning so that the boys and girls of the city incorporate the basic fundamentals of this sport, but mainly add essential values ​​for their training as people.

“Years ago, when we started with this project, which was to create the Deportivo Viedma club, we set ourselves the horizon to work with the children and adolescents of the city. The launch of our Little Basketball School, where the youngest can learn and generate friendships, is a dream come true ”, highlighted the president of the institution, Fernando Casadei.

The School will operate in the facilities of the APEL union, in Guatemala 229 of Viedma. Leaders of the Depo Viedma and the legislative union signed the collaboration agreement, joining forces and will to achieve this objective.

Since its origins, Depo Viedma has faced social and sporting events with children and adolescents, promoting group work, sports solidarity, altruism, caring for the body and healthy eating and the benefits of physical exercise.

In the same context, joint activities were organized visiting the Ángel Cayetano Arias stadium to Argentina League matches, not only with children who attend the various sports activities organized by APEL, but also with children who participate in different social programs of picnic areas and non-profit organizations. profit of our community.

The School will begin its activity in the 2021 sports cycle, according to the provisions of the corresponding provincial and municipal health regulations. Depo Viedma will take care of the organization and direction, in addition to providing the sportswear, balls and rings necessary for the activity.

The School is expected to operate at least two days a week, with two-hour classes. The teachers will be provided by the club, who will take care of the organization and pedagogical direction.

For Depo Viedma, the president, Fernando Casadei and the secretary, Alfredo Arburua, signed the agreement, while for APEL the assistant secretary, Gustavo Bringa and the youth secretary, Matías Motencinos, did.
