There are only two games on the college football schedule this weekend that have ranked teams competing, and both are in the SEC. But there’s plenty of glimpse into the country on Saturday, especially the Big 12, where the league’s only three ranked teams have a lot to prove. No. 9 Texas and No. 18 Oklahoma face critical conference battles against TCU and Iowa State, respectively, before they compete in the all-important Red River Rivalry next week. Meanwhile, No. 17 State of Oklahoma will have the perfect opportunity to get its much-invoked offense on track in a game in Lower Kansas.
These three games should help bring clarity to a conference that was struggling so far in 2020. But all eyes will be on the SEC nationally, where No. 2 Alabama No. 13 Texas A&M on the SEC at the CBS game of the week at 3:30 ET. In the nightcap, No. 4 Georgia houses No. 7 Auburn. Both games could have an impact on the college football playoffs.
