Badminton is promoted in the State of Morelos

The discipline of badminton is beginning to gain strength in the state of Morelos. Recently a representative of the entity was formed for different competitions, in addition to the appointment of the State Association for this sport.

One of its current exponents is Sara Lucía Anaya, who learned about this sport during her high school years. Over the years, she decided to take her workouts more thoroughly.

“It was something new, I had practiced it, and when I took the training into shape it was hard for me to learn, since there are many techniques and movements and it is not just hitting for hitting.

“I never imagined doing a career but that’s how things turned out,” he mentioned.

The woman from Morelos was the first badminton player to represent the entity in a National Universiade, recognizing that she is far from being equal to the best.

“The first was in 2018 in Toluca and in 2019 in Yucatán. The truth, being so new to Morelos (badminton), I cannot compare my level with those of other states that have been around for years ”, he added.

With this projection, plus the recent participation in the National Olympiad of a sale, badminton already has an association that can give it a better validity and.

“This is going to grow, a team with different capacities was integrated, with which it is intended to make more dissemination for the growth of sport in the entity. That it is known in schools, in universities, and having the support of INDEM can take off in the state of Morelos ”, he said.

In addition, the training sessions at the Centenario stadium have allowed Sara Lucía and younger people to learn more about this discipline, so she has no doubt that ““ Morelos is going to have strong players in the coming years, today’s children have a great level. ”.

Finally, Sara, who studies molecular biochemistry at the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos, mentioned that she continues to prepare for when activities are resumed.

“Everything is stopped until further notice; My plans are to continue training and attend the qualifier and then to the University, I plan to continue practicing it but perhaps I will no longer represent the UAEM ”, he concluded in a conversation with Diario de Morelos, in the section on Beyond Sport.
