PARIS – Winner Sunday in Cologne of his second title in two weeks, Alexander Zverev consolidated his seventh place in the ATP ranking published on Monday, while Milos Raonic (17th) nibbled two places.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only the Antwerp tournament and the Cologne tournament were on the players’ agenda in recent days.

Therefore, in the top-20 still dominated by the Djokovic-Nadal-Thiem trio, few changes are to be noted: the Canadian Milos Raonic, quarter-finalist in Belgium, overtook Karen Khachanov and Stan Wawrinka to take 17th place.

Alexander Zverev, who won the second tournament in Cologne on Sunday after having already won the first the previous week, remains 7th and a good distance (over 800 points) from 6th Daniil Medvedev.

His closest pursuer, Russian Andrey Rublev, is more than 1,500 points behind.

The Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, beaten in the final by Zverev, remains 9th but is approaching less than 200 points from Rublev.

Winner of the Antwerp tournament, the French Ugo Humbert climbed to 32nd rank (+6), the best ranking of his career.

His victim Sunday in the final, the Australian Alex De Minaur (21), climbed back to 25th position (+4).

The week ahead promises to be calm again: only the Vienna and Astana tournaments are on the program, while waiting for the Masters 1000 at Paris-Bercy which will start on Monday, November 2.
