It’s a word that makes Jürgen Klopp sit up and take notice, at least when it’s in the mouth of Manchester United’s great Roy Keane and applies after defeating Arsenal.
However, the Liverpool boss can have few problems with Emile Heskey’s commitment – just like a few days after Aston Villa’s destruction of his team.
With one foot in both camps – as a former Liverpool and Villa player – Heskey has described how impressed he was with the Reds’ lack of representation and Villa’s superb performance.
Speaking to Sky Sports’ The Football Show, the ex-England striker didn’t hold back: “I think it’s just about putting all the mistakes in one hat. Anything that could go wrong during part of a season went wrong in this game.
“Players get isolated one on one and then Aston Villa takes the opportunity.
“There is one thing that creates opportunities, but another that creates opportunities, and then of course also distractions that people don’t pick up and allow them to run into.
“It was very, very, I’m not going to like using the word sloppy – but it was sloppy.
“You have to take your hat off to Aston Villa, which brought players in and gelled in an extraordinary way and is now producing.
