AJ Green is frustrated with the Bengals but wants to stay with the team

The Bengals are in the basement of the AFC North (1-3-1 record) and despite Joe Burrow has shown his important talent, A.J. Green he’s not having a good time. In fact, the wide receiver is frustrated.

In an interview for him Cincinnati Inquirer, Green assured that the team is working to improve. He added that he is not comfortable with his performance. “I think they are trying to achieve something. People will say many things. There is a lot of frustration.”, he detailed.

And actually their numbers have given a lot to talk about. In 2020 it has 14 receptions for 119 yards, no touchdowns; the situation worsens if his last two performances are reviewed: a three-yard catch.

Given this, Green said that he has not fully assimilated the offensive scheme of coach Zac Taylor (in 2019 he did not play due to an ankle injury). The 32-year-old receiver promised his performances will improve.

I keep working to adapt. I’m still looking for my place in this new offense. Every week I will try to be better, “he explained.

He doesn’t want to leave Cincy

On the other hand, Green indicated that despite the possibility of being traded before November 3, he wants to stay with the Bengals. “Yes of course [quiero quedarme]. I think we are building something special here “, asserted for ESPN.

A possible trade is not a new topic. During free agency, and before signing the franchise player tag, it was speculated that Green could leave the Bengals, above all because has been overshadowed by Tyler Boyd and rookie Tee Higgins.
