According to Souček, West Ham fans will fall in love with Coufal

Defensive midfielder Tomáš Souček has no doubt that West Ham fans will fall in love with defender Vladimír Coufal, who transferred to the “Kladivářů” team from Prague’s Slavia on Friday. Souček believes that his partner from the Czech national team adapts to the Premier League without any problems and that, thanks to his nature, he easily fits into the cabin of the London team.

“I think West Ham fans will fall in love with Vladimir and he will feel connected to them. He plays very fast and intensely and will pay 100 percent for the club every minute,” quoted the club website Souček, who came to the club from Slavia in January. While the English team paid over half a billion crowns for it, according to the head of the people of Prague, Jaroslav Tvrdík, almost 163 million crowns for it.

Souček is looking forward to seeing Coufal play in his new job. “In my opinion, he has all the qualities needed for the Premier League. He is very strong, plays intensely and is very balanced. Like me, he likes to run, he constantly moves up and down on the right. He may run at least 11-12 kilometers in every match. He is it’s a very modern real backbone, “ said a 25-year-old native of Havlíčkův Brod.

“Vladimir is also a good boy with a nice character. I’m sure he will fit into the cabin very well and everyone will like him here. It’s good for him that I’m here, I’ll help him settle down. But it’s also good for me that is here, as well as for our women and young children, who know each other very well, “ said Souček.

According to him, the Ostrava offspring stood out in Slavia. “There are a lot of good players in Slavia, but Vladimir has been one of the best in the last two years. I don’t remember him ever playing a bad match.” stated the holder of the Golden Ball for the best Czech football player for the 2019/20 season.

Not only the Slavic past connects him with Coufal. “I have known Vladimír for a very long time, our careers have developed quite close together. We first played together in 2017, when I went on a guest visit to Liberec, where I was recovering from an injury. A year later Vladimír left for Slavia,” said Souček. Together with the Vršovice team, they won two league titles and a victory in the domestic cup.

“We also work together in the national team, so West Ham is already the fourth team we play for together. Fortunately we are good friends, so I’m glad to see Vladimir again,” said Souček.
