In the eighth round of the second division, FC Liefering maintained its four-point lead. The leader of the table won 2-0 (2-0) at the bottom Young Violets Austria in Vienna on Friday. The new runner-up in the table is SV Lafnitz, who beat Kapfenberger SV 2-0 (1-0). The previous second GAK, however, had to admit defeat at Juniors OÖ with 0: 2 (0: 0) and is now seven points behind the top.
Liefering ensured clear conditions for the young Austrians early on. Chikwubuike Adamu (3rd) and Lukas Prokop (19th) shot Salzburg, who are not eligible for promotion, to a quick lead and to victory. While Liefering is still unbeaten, the Young Violets are still waiting for their first win of the season.
Lafnitz secured three points with hits from Philipp Wendler (41st) and Christoph Kröpfl (54th). The GAK, on the other hand, had to admit defeat after three wins and one draw. Sebastian Wimmer (65th) and Alexander Mayr (83rd) met for the LASK junior forge. The FAC awarded a lead three times in the 3: 3 (1: 1) against Vorwärts Steyr and has thus been without a win even after the fifth duel with the Upper Austrians since their rise in summer 2018. Michael Drga (85th) saved Vorwärts one point.
Wacker wins outnumbered
Wacker Innsbruck defeated Horn with ten men 3: 2 (1: 1). Florian Jamnig was excluded in the 29th minute when the score was 1: 1, but Ronivaldo (52nd) still brought the Tyroleans into the lead. Patrik Eler (82nd) equalized for the Lower Austrians, but Merchas Doski (87th) shot Wacker to victory.
