Women’s D 1: PSG revives the machine by outclassing Guingamp

The PSG girls have mastered the art of rebounding. Ten days after their elimination (0-1) by Lyon in the semi-final of the Champions League, the players of Olivier Echouafni successfully regained the field by logically dominating (4-1) Guingamp this Saturday at the Camp des Loges for the opening of the feminine D 1. The disillusion seems digested while waiting for the next big test in Bordeaux next Sunday.

What you must remember

Deprived of Geyoro, victim of a stress fracture, Olivier Echouafni also left Bachmann and Nadim on the bench to launch the young Khélifi (21 years old) and Huitema (19 years old). It was the latter who lit the first big wick on a hook and a shot rejected by the goalkeeper in the… 29th minute. Proof that the Parisians have had difficulty reviving the machine and thwarting the solid organization in Guingamp.

The accelerator before the break did nothing more, nor that of Katoto, who lost his duel with the goalkeeper (55th). It wasn’t until the next minute that it was put off with a cross from Däbritz for Diani’s point blank header.

The goalscorer then turned into a passer for Katoto (71st). The roles were then reversed between the two accomplices of the Parisian attack (78th). No time to doubt therefore after the reduction of the gap by Robert (75th). Especially since Diani has given a layer (86th). Without being brilliant, the PSG provided the essential and treated a little its European ills.

The player: Kadidiatou Diani

Stopped in its tracks by the Covid-19 epidemic and the cessation of competitions (12 goals and 4 assists in 16 league games), the 25-year-old striker has left with a vengeance. With a hat-trick and an assist after a festival on her right side, the international tricolor has met the expectations placed in her by the capital club and its sports director Leonardo. It was a phone call from the Brazilian, accompanied by a nice salary increase, which convinced “Kadi” to extend 3 years instead of responding to the sirens of OL.

The other matches: Bordeaux already hooked

Candidate for the podium, qualifier for the next Champions League, Bordeaux has already dropped points by conceding a draw (4-4) in Reims. Another applicant for a European ticket, Montpellier was also hooked to Fleury-Mérogis (0-0). The duel of the promoted turned largely in favor of Havre, victorious (4-0) on the field of Issy-les-Moulineaux. A week after winning its 7th Champions League, the 5th in a row, Lyon is already looking for a 15th national coronation this Sunday (5 p.m., on Canal +) with the reception of Paris FC.
