Olot and Peralada have drawn (1-1) in one pre-season friendly played at the Royalverd facilities. The duel has been quite even and still marked by the lack of shooting of the two teams, who still have more than a month to start the season in Second B and Third, respectively.
Peralada has hit first, very soon. In the quarter of an hour of play Carles Puig scored the 0-1 after a fine pass from Arnau Ortiz. Puig controlled the ball well in the area and beat the Olot goalkeeper Pol Ballesté by the short post. The Garrotxins have immediately taken a step forward. Xumetra first ran into Aroca, but in the 36th minute he equalized with one shot from outside the area that hit Pope’s heel. Before the break, Aspar was 2-1 but his shot went to the post.
In the second half one of the main protagonists was again the goalkeeper of Peralada, Aroca, who has stopped a penalty to Juan Delgado in the final stretch of the match. The Peralada goalkeeper also made a couple of outstanding interventions to avoid Olot’s goal. Two minutes from the end it was Peralada who had a pretty clear double chance to break the tie, in actions of Cristian and Carles Puig. Finally the score did not move and the rehearsal, marked by the heat, ended in a 1-1 draw.
