During the second ODI against Australia, the footballing skills of English pacer Jofra Archer impressed Marcus Rashford of Manchester United.
The pacer’s English spearhead was spotted by his skipper Eoin Morgan during his 42nd over.
Sharing a clip of his nutmeg on Twitter, Archer asked Manchester United star Marcus Rashford if he was doing it right. He wrote: “The best part of the evening for me close, skip what you see @MarcusRashford?”
Marcus Rashford reacted to Jofra Archer’s tweet and said, “My brother is great to see you happy doing what you are doing. And you are DOING it.”
Archer scaled three wickets during the match and played a pivotal role in winning the match with 24 runs after the English side accounted for a modest 231 run total.
The Australians were eliminated on 207 during the second inning. Archer inflicted early hits on the visitors by firing David Warner (6 runs) and Marcus Stoinis (9 runs) cheaply before Aaron Finch and Marnus Labuschagne added a 107 run stand for the third wicket.
Sam Curran and Chris Woakes chose three wickets each to group the 207 visitors.
