Blues snubbed Jorginho and Pjanic swap
Chelsea have snubbed the possibility of signing Miralem Pjanic from Juventus as part of a trade involving Jorginho, the latter’s agent said.
Jorginho, 28, was expected to return to Italy this summer and reunite with former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri at Juve.
However, he will no longer be able to connect with the 61-year-old in Turin following his dismissal as manager of the Old Lady last month.
His agent confirmed Juve were interested in a deal, but only for Chelsea to refuse their swap offer, including Pjanic.
“Juventus had offered an exchange with Miralem Pjanic, but the English team did not take it into consideration,” Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb.
“[Juve sporting director Fabio] Paratici never called me. Would he have moved to Juventus with Sarri? I think so.”
