French Open: Rodionov has to bow to gombos

In the cold and damp temperatures, Rodionov’s efforts from four games so far, including the five-sentence thriller in the first round against Frenchman Jeremy Chardy, made themselves felt. It went back and forth in the third round, in which the Austrian had to be treated on his back. Rodionov conceded a break to 1: 2, but managed to equalize to 4: 4. Again the Austrian fell behind with a break with 4: 5, but Gombos could not serve, but gave his serve to zero. The decision was made in the tie-break, in which the Slovakian got the upper hand with 7: 4.

Gombos took advantage of the first and only break chance in the fourth round and fixed the move into the third round after 2:50 hours.
