A total of 28,000 corona tests were carried out in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga at the end of the previous season. For the coming season, DFL managing director Christian Seifert expects around 3,500 tests per week to carry out match operations. Extrapolated, this would be over 100,000 corona tests over the entire season.
