This Sunday (2 p.m. ladies’ final and 3:30 p.m. men’s finals), the TC Balma wraps up its tournament on the schedule of the “La Dépêche du Midi-BNP Paribas” racquet circuit. Catherine Sacaze, president of the club, returns in particular to the good behavior of the participants concerning the sanitary measures.
In terms of registrations, how many players do you have?
We have 348 registered. As a reminder, the tournament could not be held last year due to faulty lighting for our indoor courts.
In terms of health, how do you judge the attitude of the participants?
Everyone plays the game with respect for barrier gestures and social distancing. We check every day that we have enough hydroalcoholic gel. Of course, you can’t be behind everyone who comes to the club. But we remain vigilant. For example, in the locker room, players are only allowed to change and not to shower.
Who are the top ranked players in the final draw?
Among the men, we have in particular Paul Cayre (N.71 French, Stade Toulousain), Joffrey de Schepper (N.79, Saint-Germain Puch TC) and Arthur Reymond (N.100, Stade Toulousain). In the ladies, we have two – 15, namely Amira Benaissa (US Colomiers) and Olympe Lancelot (Lyon).
