Arsenal fans rave in the Aston Villa friendly when Dean Smith “accepted” the transfer goal

Arsenal fans smoke friendly in villa

Some Arsenal fans reacted to yesterday’s friendship defeat against Aston Villa – and they didn’t take it well.

On the last weekend before the Premier League season started in a week, Dean Smith took his team to north London for a third pre-season test.

With both teams missing established players due to international games, Villa won 3-2 at the Emirates Stadium.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice for the Gunners but it wasn’t enough when young Jacob Ramsey also scored a brace in the behind-closed-door encounter.

Smith “accepted” bid for the target Wilson

Villa reportedly had an offer of over £ 20million for striker Callum Wilson, which was accepted by Bournemouth AFC.

Football Insiders claim the Cherries are happy with the transfer fee submitted by Smith’s side, while Wilson is also wanted by Premier League rivals Newcastle United.

However, it is reported that Wilson prefers a move to Newcastle and that Villa still needs to lure the English striker to Villa Park.

Newcastle’s offer is valued at around £ 20 million, while this morning it was claimed that Villa offered an additional £ 1 million.

Villa fans all do the same thing about England

England won their first UEFA Nations League game of the season on Saturday night, beating Iceland 1-0 thanks to a late penalty from Raheem Sterling.

Gareth Southgate’s side battled it out in Reykjavik after running out of spark at their first international clash in almost a year.

Sterling turned the free kick into stoppage time for a minute after referee Srdjan Jovanovic saw Sverrir Ingi Ingason as the ball from the Manchester City star’s shot.

England itself already had ten men and Kyle Walker was sent off in the 70th minute for a second bookable offense.

Savage makes Villa prediction ahead of new campaign

Robbie Savage has recommended Villa relegation from the Premier League in the coming season – if they part ways with captain Grealish.

Former Blues midfielder Savage, who is an expert these days, has predicted what the top table will look like in May 2021 – and he sees that Villa’s hopes for survival are based on Grealish’s situation.

The Lions skipper was finally called up to the English squad this month after a personal season where he pulled Villa over the line in the final game cluster.

Savage believes his newfound international status may only encourage potential applicants to make contact with Villa, and therefore his future will be key to the team’s chances of staying in the top division for a third campaign.
