Ajax Amsterdam joined the Youth League semi-finals on Tuesday, dominating the Danes of Midtjylland (3-1), in a dry match in Nyon (Switzerland). Coached by John Heitinga, Ajax’s Under-19s made the difference on two superbly placed strikes from the twenty meters of Rasmussen (38th) and Hansen (53rd).
The Danes returned after a huge ball from goalkeeper Daan Reiziger, scorer against his side (74th). But Ideho, just entered, gave Ajax the advantage with an inspired lob (77th). In the semi-finals, the Dutch will face Dinamo Zagreb or Benfica.
