Brazilian club Flamengo announced on Wednesday the recruitment of Mauricio Isla, a 32-year-old Chilean international who passed through Juventus Turin and Olympique de Marseille.
Isla will replace veteran Rafinha, 34, at Flamengo, who signed this week at Greek champions Olympiakos. It will be the first professional experience in South America for Isla, formed at the Chilean club Universidad Catolica but turned professional at Udinese in 2007. He then played for Juventus, Queens Park Rangers, Marseille and Cagliari before joining Fenerbahçe a year ago.
