Tour de France 2020: These are the favorites for the yellow jersey

10. Daniel Felipe Martínez (EF Pro Cycling)

So far, the Colombian has been a driver you tend to let out of your sight. At least that was the case with some talent scouts who watched Martínez a few years ago but did not want to sign. “You have to say that he was simply overlooked by other teams back then,” said his current team boss Jonathan Vaughters of the 24-year-old. EF Pro Cycling is now happy to have him as Martínez has become a very promising class rider. He last showed this at the Critérium du Dauphiné, which he won after top drivers like Egan Bernal were eliminated. With his triumph in the important preparatory race for the Tour, Martínez is now one of the professionals who can make it into the top 10. Despite strong companions like Rigoberto Uran and Sergio Higuita, he will not be able to seriously aim for the tour victory.
