The winners of the second stage of the Latvian Rally Championship – Jēts, Bergmanis and Sesks

Simultaneously with the FIA ​​European Rally Championship stage “Rally Liepāja”, the second stage of the Latvian Rally Championship took place on Talsi region on Saturday, and the crew of Raul Jēts / Andrus Tooma (“Škoda Fabia R5”) turned out to be the fastest in the last four stages, the organizers informed.

The three places were won by Edijs Bergmanis / Edgars Greins (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) and Mārtiņš Sesks / Renārs Francis (Ford Fiesta Rally4).

Raul Jēts’s crew also won the LRC ABS rating, while Eddie Bergmanis duo was the fastest all-wheel drive car in the LRC1 class. Dmitrijs Feofanovs / Normunds Kokins (“Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X”) turned out to be the fastest in LRC2 test class, but Mārtiņš Seska’s crew was correspondingly the fastest front-wheel drive car in LRC3 test. Meanwhile, the victory in the front-wheel drive car class LRC5 was won by Arvis Vecvagars / Gints Gaiķis (Renault Clio).

Raul Jēt admitted that at first he had to get used to the fact that the road was very slippery. “We made a few small mistakes, but in general everything was fine. The situation was similar in the future – it was very difficult to find the right trajectory. Before that I thought it would be easier. In the afternoon we struggled with dust. It was hard to see anything, but the roads were wider and we drove better, “said Jetas.

On Sunday, the third stage of the Latvian Rally Championship will take place in the vicinity of Liepāja.
