Alphonso Davies’ action when Bayern Munich beat Barcelona was also praised by Marcelo, Real Madrid’s left-back. What’s the word?
Alphonso Davies performed well when Bayern Munich overtook Barca by a score of 8-2 in the Champions League quarter-finals. These results also made Die Roten stroll into the semifinals of the event.
One of Alphonso Davies’ actions that caught the eye was when he assisted for one of the Bayern goals scored by Joshua Kimmich.
In managing the goal, the 19-year-old Canadian player showed off individual action on the left side of the field in passing Lionel Messi, Arturo Vidal and Nelson Semedo.
Marcelo, too, did not hesitate to praise Alphonso Davies. The compliment appeared in the comments section of an Alphonso Davies post on Instagram.
“Every time you play you always make my eyes stunned, son,” wrote Marcelo.
This praise may not only be a form of admiration as a fellow left-back, but also because Alphonso Davies did it against Barcelona. Defending Real Madrid, Barca’s eternal rival, Marcelo must know very well how strong the Blaugrana are.
Similar praise was expressed by Andy Robertson, who also played at left-back at Liverpool. He gave a stunned, applauded, and on fire emoji in a piece of Alphonso Davies’ action when he beat Barcelona.
Previously, Joshua Kimmich, who made a goal thanks to Alphonso Davies’ assist, also said that his colleague’s action made it easier for him to break into Barca’s goal.
