Seattle Seahawks’ Kyle Fuller suspended two games for violating drug addiction policy

Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman Kyle Fuller, who competed with Ethan Pocic and BJ Finney at center, has been suspended for the first two games of the season.

The official statement was released early Saturday afternoon.

Two games typically indicate a suspension for a diuretic or masking agent under the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy, but the statement released by the Seahawks specifically classified it as a substance abuse violation. It is likely that details will be provided in the coming days.

As is the case with preseason suspensions, Fuller is eligible to continue practicing, but that would change once the season begins and the suspension goes into effect.

Originally drafted by the Houston Texans in 2017, he started two games as a rookie, but did not play last season. He was considered by most to be a longtime player to be a part of the squad, but would have sometimes flashed so far during training camp.

This is the first such suspension for Seattle this year, which is currently playing its simulated game (not broadcast live) at CenturyLink Field.
