Pogba and De Gea still have a huge future at Man Utd, but the club must put Lingard and Jones on the list of summer transfers

Much attention has been paid to Jadon Sancho’s potential arrival, but who could walk through the exit door of Old Trafford?

Tom McDermott, United End editor, thinks about who might or might not leave.

David De Gea – Keep

The Spaniard is no longer what he once was, but he is probably still likely to make fewer mistakes during the season than the number two Sergio Romero.

Dean Henderson is also in the mix, but the young man needs at least one more season on loan to Sheffield United before he is considered United’s next number one.

Eric Bailly – Sell

Chris Smalling has returned from his period on loan with Roma, while Axel Tuanzebe is the promising future.

Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire are the established couple, so what happens to Bailly?

It may be time to cash in and reinvest in other areas of the team.

Phil Jones – Sell

Jones should look at Smalling’s time in Italy and use it as his inspiration to force a permanent move somewhere.

Jonny Evans left not many years ago and had a good career elsewhere.

It is not too late for Jones to do the same.

Axel Tuanzebe – Keep

With so much potential and at such a young age, there is little chance that United will sell it this summer.

However, he needs to get over his injury problems, and if he can, he could move on and become Harry Maguire’s long-term answer and partner.

Victor Lindelof – Keep

The Swede was probably United’s most reliable defender in the last few weeks of the season.

There isn’t much to choose between him and Maguire and he will continue to be a key member of the team in the Europa League and next season.

Chris Smalling – Keep

Smalling’s form on loan to Rome was such that Solskjaer called him back and the Norwegian has already publicly stated that he will be part of his plans next season.

Scaling is faster than both Maguire and Lindelof and is more capable in one-on-one situations.

He is also rarely injured, which cannot be said of Bailly and Tuanzebe.

Paul Pogba, who seemed destined for the release of Man United, could end up signing a new contract

Paul Pogba – Keep

Earlier this year, it looked like Pogba was going to be dumped this summer.

But, due to the current economic climate, this now seems unlikely.

Pogba has forged a creative partnership with Bruno Fernandes in midfield, and the team is certainly more dangerous with him inside.

New contract anyone? It is an old fun game.

Nemanja Matic – Keep

You realize how important Matic is when it’s not there.

The commander in front of the rear four, the technical staff of Solskjaer will have to choose his matches next season to get the best from him.

His recent contract extension is a sign of his importance for Solskajer and the team.

Andreas Pereira – Sell

Solskajer has been accused of having a blind spot with Pereira, but he is simply not good enough to be a Manchester United squad player, let alone the starting XI.

It’s time to move Pereira and give James Garner a chance.

Jesse Lingard, a graduate of the United States academy, has suffered from her form and hopes to prove her worth

Jesse Lingard – Sell

Just look at his statistics from the past two years to see how poor the academy graduate has been.

He has scored some important goals for the club but if anyone needs a new challenge, it is him.

Marcos Rojo – Sell
One of the poorest purchases in recent years, and there have been some.

The Argentine has not really imposed himself in any defensive position and is an accident waiting to happen when he collides with insidious forwards.

Surely it can’t survive another window?
