KOMPAS.com – There is one thing Yamaha regrets about Valentino Rossi’s appearance at the 2020 Czech MotoGP race.

Starting from 10th place, Valentino Rossi had difficulty improving his position and pushed his way to the front row at the Czech MotoGP race at the Brno Circuit, Sunday (9/8/2020) yesterday.

However, the veteran racer from the Monster Energy Yamaha team finally had to settle for finishing fifth.

With this result, Valentino Rossi also failed to fulfill his ambition to win the 200th podium throughout his career.

The Yamaha team director, Massimo Meregalli, also revealed things that made him regret after watching Valentino Rossi’s performance at the Czech MotoGP.

Actually, Massimo Meregalli appreciated Valentino Rossi’s struggle to reach fifth position.

Although satisfied with Valentino Rossi’s struggle during the race session, Massimo Meregalli admitted that there was one regret left from the rider’s performance on the 2020 Czech MotoGP schedule.

Massimo Meregalli regretted that Valentino Rossi failed to get a better starting position in the qualifying session.

“Our only regret is that if Valentino Rossi can start at least two rows ahead, of course he will be able to compete for the podium,” said Massimo Meregalli.
