He tweeted: “Elneny will be one of those returning to pre-season at Arsenal this week.

“Much interest in him from Turkish clubs after a good season at Besiktas”.

Elneny joined the Gunners in January 2016 and helped the North Londoners win the FA Cup in her second season.

But he was never a first team starter in the Emirates, and the Egyptian international is not believed in Mikel Arteta’s plans.

Turkish football said that in addition to Besiktas, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Trabzonspor are eager to secure Elneny’s services.

And Arsenal are ready to let Elneny leave the club for another seasonal loan.

The club has no room for the player as they seek to bring back Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos for a second period.

Meanwhile Thomas Partey remains Arteta’s number one target this summer as he seeks to sign an established defensive midfielder.

And Philippe Coutinho has also been linked to the transfer to Arsenal after the club lacked creativity in the last third during the 2019/20 term.
