LPGA’s ANA Inspiration in September will be held without fans

The LPGA Tour will have another major one with no spectators.

ANA Inspiration has announced it will have no fans September 10-13 at Mission Hills in Rancho Mirage, California. The major is typically New Year’s Eve in early spring but has been postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The first major of the LPGA is in two weeks: the Women’s British Open at the Royal Troon will have no spectators.

The decision was not a surprise. In men’s golf, the PGA Championship this week in San Francisco and the US Open next month in New York will be without spectators. The question now is which tournament will be the first with the fans.
