Le’Veon Bell disputes Adam Gase’s claim he was removed from practice as a precaution

Jets coach Adam Gase told reporters on Wednesday he was following such wisdom when he pulled running back Le’Veon Bell from practice with a hamstring tendon.

Bell then took to Twitter to challenge his coach’s claim, responding to a tweet about the Jets’ injury updates with “There is nothing wrong (sic) with my hamstrings.”

Bell developed further, tweeting “it’s hard to stay loose when you do a bunch of standing around … and I’m used to GOINGGG” accompanied by a running man and dust cloud emojis.

Obviously, Bell was not happy to have been removed from the participation.

Gase told reporters that Bell is a player who really doesn’t like leaving training and usually needs to be sent off, by Brian Costello of the New York Post, which could explain Bell’s dissatisfaction expressed online.

Ahead of Bell’s exit, it looked like Bell was alternating playoffs with veteran full-back Frank Gore, per Costello.

An observer might just attribute all of this ordeal to practice and precaution, the latter being most important within three weeks of launch weekend. While this is true, Bell also made a good point:
