Khalil Mack is a man of few words. Whenever he is forced to speak with the media, he never raises his voice. His answers are calm and short. It is clear that man is introverted at heart. Yet when he arrives on the football field, he turns into a demon. Offensive tackles have been scary over the years. He is now entering one of the most important seasons of his Chicago Bears career.
How does he feel? Mack has yet to speak to the media this year. So all that people need to keep going are the reports from the coaches. Apparently, the 29-year-old worked like crazy during the offseason. Even take Zoom calls in the weight room. This gives the impression that his 8.5-bag campaign in 2019 did not live up to his personal standards and that he intends to correct this problem.
If people needed a little more insurance, Mack provided it. Te Bates is a local Chicago artist and designer. He’s a big Bears fan and apparently friends with the Pass Rusher star to some extent. Bates posted a photo of Mack on his Instagram with a simple caption of “I have a good feeling about this season.”
The linebacker had a two word answer to that.

If people think about last season, Mack hasn’t said much either. However, there were times when it seemed like his mood was a bit stark. As if he lacked a little optimism. Maybe he thought the Bears didn’t have the same advantage they had the year before. That they expected things to turn out well for them, like in 2018. They understood everything. It was something mentioned throughout the season. Maybe the team has rolled over past successes a bit too much.
This year, by all accounts, the players are hungry and focused on going to camp. On top of that, Mack has a new running mate in Robert Quinn. A significant upgrade from Leonard Floyd on the opposite edge. That should mean fewer doubles teams than he’s ever seen. It’s no wonder then that he feels optimistic about 2020.
