Kai Havertz missed Bayer Leverkusen’s performance tests over the weekend as he nears moving to Chelsea, according to Image.
The 21-year-old attended the club’s headquarters on Friday and Saturday as he reported for two coronavirus tests, as he has to perform them for his upcoming national team matches with Germany.
Chelsea have been chasing the attacking midfielder for some time as they continue to spend a lot on their summer rebuild under the guidance of manager Frank Lampard.

The Premier League side were hoping to get Havertz’s signing for £ 70m, but Leverkusen was stuck with the £ 90m valuation.

The youngster is eager to prove his credentials in the West London first team once again and looks set to reject any progress made this summer.
