The Brazilian midfielder refused to let speculation over his next move after helping Hansi Flick’s side progress in Europe
Philippe Coutinho says he is “completely focused” on winning the Champions League with Bayern and insists that he has not yet thought about his future in ties with Arsenal.
Coutinho looks set to face his final appearance for Bayern in Sunday’s European Cup final, which will see the Bundesliga champions take on Paris Saint-Germain in Lisbon.
The 28-year-old scored two goals against his mother team, Barcelona, in a stunning 8-2 quarter-final win last week, and was also starring off the bench when Hansi Flick’s side beat Lyon. 3-0 in the last four matches on Wednesday.
Bayern have already missed the opportunity to sign Coutinho on a permanent basis at the end of his seasonal loan, which means he will return to Camp Nou ahead of the 2020-21 season.
The Brazilian is still linked to the Blaugrana until 2023, however it has been suggested that the club will cash in on the attacking midfielder rather than reinstate him in the squad.
Coutinho struggled to live up to his £ 142 ($ 187 million) price tag after joining Barca from Liverpool in January 2018, and is now being asked to return to the Premier League after a mixed year at Bayern.
Arsenal are reportedly keen to bring the former Reds talisman, while Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in his serves.
However, as he said, Coutinho looks no further than this weekend’s highlight event Interactive sport questioned about the rumors of a possible transfer after Bayern’s win against Lyon: “My mind is completely focused on the competition. It is a unique opportunity for us. I am very happy to be in the Champions League final.
“I haven’t thought about my future because I’m only thinking about the final”.
The Barca taker will come face to face with fellow countryman Neymar in the Champions League final, and is well aware of the threat the world’s most expensive player will pose to Flick’s Bayern.
“We haven’t talked yet because of the match. I’m sure he’s focused on his team and me on mine,” said Coutinho.
“PSG is a very strong team with very fast forwards. I don’t even need to say how great Neymar is as a player because the whole world knows that.
“They also have a solid defense. It will be a great match, a great final.”
