Greek court releases Maguire, case to be heard on Tuesday | Premier League

Maguire, along with 2 other Britons, was arrested by the police, because the three approached the police verbally and physically. In the police station, the 3 would also have turned against the police. Maguire and another defendant are said to have made another attempt at a bribe afterwards. The public prosecutor accused him of assault and violence against third parties, violence against the police and bribery, but the defender pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor spoke of crimes for which Maguire and the 2 others should not remain in jail. The three were allowed to dispose. Maguire left the courthouse towards an unknown destination.

The case will appear on Tuesday, but the men can have their lawyer defend themselves there. According to Manchester United, Maguire is leaving Greece. “The case was adjourned so that the lawyers can review the file. Harry pleaded not guilty. It would be inappropriate for the player or club to speak up while the proceedings are progressing,” a brief statement read.

The United players are enjoying a holiday after they were in the semi-finals of the Europa League against Sevilla last weekend.
