Derrius Guice strangled his girlfriend until she was unconscious, documents say

Criminal complaints filed Monday against Derrius Guice allege that the former Washington football team backer attacked his girlfriend three times, including an incident in which Guice “choked her until she was killed. ‘she is unconscious’.

The incident allegedly took place on March 13 at Guice’s home in Ashburn, Virginia, according to one such criminal complaint. He alleges that once the woman regained consciousness, Guice “cried and patted her”. The complaint also states that Guice allegedly “pushed her and pulled her hair more than once” on March 13.

According to the complaint, the woman had to leave for a flight after regaining consciousness and left Guice’s home in a hurry. During a layover in Chicago, she photographed her injuries in a bathroom, showing a bruised neck.

The court documents were filed in the Loudoun County General District Court. Guice, 23, was charged with one count of strangulation, three counts of assault and battery and one count of destruction of property for his alleged role in the three separate incidents.

Guice is due in court for his initial appearance on August 28.

Another criminal complaint alleges that Guice pushed the woman to the bathroom floor of her bedroom on February 14, when she was injured in the left sticker as she tried to grab it. The nail eventually fell out after a blood vessel burst and the girlfriend photographed the injury, according to the complaint.

The latest incident took place on April 17, according to the latest criminal complaint. Guice allegedly pushed his girlfriend to the ground outside his home, “causing her to suffer body injuries” which she photographed, according to the complaint. Guice also allegedly threw his girlfriend’s cell phone on the street, causing it to explode.

The woman was identified in court documents by her initials. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department said the incidents were reported to the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland, where the victim lives. Loudoun officials then learned on July 22 that they had performed in their jurisdiction in February, March and April.

Guice was set to enter his third season in the NFL after missing his first year with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He recorded 42 carries for 245 yards with two touchdowns in five games last season.
