No new victory for KRC Genk. The Limburgers seemed on their way to a great victory after a gem from Junya Ito, but in the end goal-getter Thomas Henry equalized.
KRC Genk made an impression in the first half against OH Leuven. More than 70 percent possession and good football, but it was happy with 0-0 at half time. Vukovic and Cuesta made sure that Vekemans and Sowah could not give the visitors the lead.
In the second half, Leuven continued to speculate on a deadly counter, but it was Genk that took the lead. Ito got a little too much space and placed the ball wonderfully past an otherwise very strong Iversen in goal.
Leuven tries, with success
Under the impulse of a strong Mercier, OHL tried to reach the same level and that happened. Sowah played well with Henry and he beat Vukovic in two times. KRC Genk was no longer the time to respond and had to be satisfied with one point. The Limburgers are (for the time being) in the lead together with KV Mechelen, OH Leuven dangles in the middle bracket with 2 out of 6.
