Antoine Griezmann wanted to leave Barcelona before the Bayern disaster

Antoine Griezmann was considering his future before Barcelona’s Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich and was quite determined to leave the club.

According to his former agent Éric Olhats, the Frenchman was not very happy with how things were going and had only one thing in mind.

Yet it looks like Griezmann has changed his mind since talking to new boss Ronald Koeman.

“Before the disaster against Bayern, Antoine wanted one thing: to leave. He felt like he wasn’t part of the plan anymore, that things couldn’t go on like this.

“She was looking at him seriously (walking away). Then, there was what we know happened and a conversation with Koeman reassured him, that it was part of his plans, that he considered him an important player for the future. “

Koeman has been happy to talk about Griezmann since he took over. He said the World Cup winner “is not a traditional winger” and added “you have to play him in his position, in a role that suits him and where he can show his skills.”
