It has already been reported that the Blue Jackets started the Stanley Cup with a loss of five extra time in the game. Korpisalo repulsed 85 of 88 opponents’ shots, a new NHL record, as no goalkeeper has dealt with so many shots so far.
Merzlikkin, who is currently unable to play due to injury, posted a post on his social network’s Twitter profile dedicated to Korposalo showing a huge number of bottles of water.
“Brother, I think you might find it useful. 88 throws and 85 rebounds? Really, Corps? What’s your room number, I’m coming,” Merzlikkin wrote.
