Dockers confirmed she and the striker broke up in a statement Thursday night.
“The club, Cam and its management have mutually agreed that Cam will be fired from his AFL 2020 game contract,” Peter Bell, Dockers general manager for football, said in a statement.

“We spoke to Cam and his management about his future at Fremantle.
“We felt it was only fair to let Cam know as soon as possible that his contract was unlikely to be extended beyond the end of the 2020 season.
“On this basis, Cam and his management discussed the situation with his family and then informed the club that they wanted to seek an early termination of his contract, which was mutually agreed by all parties.”

The 25-year-old has played 70 AFL games, including 49 in Fremantle and 21 at his original club Greater Western Sydney.
McCarthy played in Round 1 that season but has not appeared since.
He was diagnosed with epilepsy after collapsing while training in the early stages of the Dockers’ first stint at their Queensland hub, though the diagnosis was not expected to affect his ability to play footy.
“Cam is very popular with our members and supporters, and on behalf of all members of the club, we thank him for the contribution he has made over his four seasons at Fremantle,” said Bell.
“We also wish Cam all the best in his future endeavors and the next phase of his career.”
After the 2016 season, it was sold to Fremantle along with selection designs such as Pick 7. Pick 3 switched to GWS.
McCarthy had previously sought a trade to his home state after his best season in 2015, when he scored 35 goals in 20 games. He then left the Giants to return to Perth for psychological reasons until 2016.
He was originally selected with option 14 in the 2013 national draft.
Nine’s Sam McClure first reported on the news that McCarthy had left Dockers.
