49ers practice tweets: Jimmy Garoppolo throws three interceptions, including his third pick-six

According to reporters in attendance for Wednesday’s practice, this was another rolling festival for the offense:

The tip passes go to Jimmy Garoppolo who works his eyes. Feel free to overreact, but there have been several changes every day. This is nothing new. The defense has shown they are easily ahead of the offense, which is usually the case at training camp. Now they know what plays are coming, especially Richard Sherman. It was the third interception returned for a touchdown in less than a week for Sherm.

I think acknowledging the defense and that it is practical can be true while also talking about the same issues that arose last year that are apparently still there in practice. Garoppolo needs to improve his timing and move the defense with his eyes. If you’re late on the throws or just staring into the distance, elite defenses like San Francisco’s will charge you.

It’s also who Jimmy is. His mentality is that of a gunslinger, and he’s going to try to pass, especially in practice, to see what he can get away with. I took charge of the “captain’s check” every day of the week.

There would have been a few fights in training: one involving Javon Kinlaw and Justin Skule, and another between Fred Warner and Raheem Mostert. I wouldn’t read too much about the 49ers’ practice scuffles. What you need to take away from this is that the team is tired of training against each other and ready to play against someone else. This happens every year after a few weeks of facing the same person every day.

Apparently, Richard Sherman fell after being stepped on, causing great fear. Sherman was fine and came back with an interception, as noted above. George Kittle worked on the training side with an athletic trainer for about 30 minutes, although the team said there were no injury updates. Matt Maiocco said there is no reason to panic.

Chris Biderman said that Deebo Samuel spent the first part of the training sprinting near 100% wind and it looks like he’s moving well. I would say he’s on track to play at some point in September, if not week 1.
