Zanardi was taken to the Villa Beretta Neurological Rehabilitation Center in Costa Masnaga on Tuesday from a hospital in Siena, where he underwent three head surgeries since June 19, including a demanding five-hour facial reconstruction. Since the accident, he has been connected to lung ventilation and has been in artificial sleep, but his condition has stabilized, according to doctors. That has changed now.
